A husband-and-wife duo have started an online local farmers' market and delivery service called Locavore Market at www.locavore-market.com/.
“Our goal is to help market and distribute products for local farmers while, at the same time, making it easier for residents of Greenville and the surrounding areas to purchase locally produced food,” said Angela DeCuzzi, who founded Locavore Market with her husband, Titus Boucher.
DeCuzzi said here's how it works: “Every Sunday, we update our website with products available from local farms. Customers can shop online in the Virtual Farmer's Market and either pick up their order at the Uptown Umbrella Market (at the corner of Fifth and Evans streets) on Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. or have their order delivered to their home or office on Thursday from noon-4 p.m. The cost for delivery is $5 and we'll deliver up to 20 miles (one-way) from Ayden.”
