Life on Ashly Kite’s property in Grimesland carries with it the constant serenade of 16 barking dogs.

It is not a distraction for Kite, and in fact he acts as though it isn’t even happening. The dogs are more than the man’s best friends. They are his life’s blood, and if he did notice their chatter he could very likely tell which bark belongs to which dog while wearing a blindfold.

After trying a few other life pursuits, Kite decided to commit to his passion for training dogs as a full-time job instead of a serious hobby a couple of years ago. The physical result is the Moss Bend Retrievers kennel, where at the moment 16 dogs are the primary benefactors of Kite’s world-class canine training.
