Despite vying for vastly different positions on the East Carolina football team this spring, outside linebacker Montese Overton and placekicker Warren Harvey have a good deal in common.

Both are at the beginning of their careers — Overton is a redshirt freshman and Harvey a sophomore. Both are battling for playing time with the Pirates, both call greater Greenville home year-round and both are staying positive on good days and bad.
