Letter: Listen to taxpayers, reduce taxes

5 Comments | Leave a Comment

In reference to the April 11 article “Health Board upset over cut in county funds,” board chairman Robert Ogden made the statement, “I don’t think people are going to scream and holler, it’s just essential. It’s what life is.” I want to make it loud and clear, we are screaming and hollering, but unfortunately no one in the government (local, state or federal) is listening.

No, it is not essential and it is not what life is about. We are tired of the continual increase in taxes and want the spending to stop. Please listen to the taxpayers instead of putting words in our mouths. We do not want any increases in taxes. We do not want any revenue-neutral tax.

We want reduced taxes and reduced spending.

The only way

The only way to stop wasteful spending and unnecessary tax increases is to vote for candidates that oppose both. As a taxpayer, I would absolutely have no problem paying more taxes IF the ones I pay now were spent wisely. But until that happens, no taxes increases!!!

Attention Mr. Ogden

There is the screaming and hollering in print Mr. Ogden. Can you hear us now?

Amen

And the choir sang "Amen".

Yes

This taxpayer and family agree wholeheartedly! Well said.

Remember, with Obama & the Democrats it is

never called Tax & Spending, it's called Investemnts!
