After reading two recent Bless Your Heart letters regarding some dissatisfaction with scouting, I am more appreciative than ever of my scout troop and its leaders.
I have an even greater understanding of why my scout master and the scouters push us to do our absolute best from the start to the finish, and to try to make sure that everyone in our church and community is satisfied when we do service projects for them.
In my church, the United Methodist Men also support us and offer guidance. I am grateful for the strong leadership of my scoutmaster and scouters, who hold us accountable for upholding the Scout Oath and Scout Law in addition to instilling positive character traits.
