Not a Cam fan — we don’t care!
On acting like a 3-year-old: Cam’s young. His sadness and exuberance show on his face. He hoped his hoodie and few words would cover his devastation. After some responses while overhearing the Broncos talk about the annihilation, Cam thought it best to leave rather than lose it on camera. He wasn’t rude or disrespectful. His emotions were raw. O’Toole of the Wall Street Journal said, “Cam wears his emotions on his sleeve like no other quarterback and instead of yearning for him to spit out clichés and rhetoric, why can’t we accept his individualism and lack of disingenuousness?”
On not congratulating the Broncos: Cam said, “They outplayed us,” and, “They just played better than us.” After the game he went to Peyton (Manning) and congratulated him. Photos show a gracious Cam talking and smiling with Peyton. However in 2010, Peyton walked off the field without shaking hands with any Saint player after they defeated him. The press said Manning’s behavior wasn’t at all disrespectful or bitter and that it showed how much he wanted to win the game. Only a few interpret Cam’s behavior the same way. I wonder why.
