Pitt County’s two nonprofit science learning centers, GO-Science Center and A Time for Science play separate but equally vital roles in pointing local children toward bright science futures. Both face strong financial challenges and need wider public support.
GO-Science Center on Dickinson Avenue is a nationally recognized neighborhood science and technology learning center and museum that ignites kids interest and knowledge in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) in a way that makes sense and is just plain fun.
A Time for Science Nature and Science Learning Center, on 380 acres in southern Pitt County, was established as a nonprofit, charitable organization under the sponsorship of the Greater Greenville Community Foundation.
