Courtney Ann Harris and Hugh Therman “Trey” Hardee IV were united in marriage on May 17, 2014 at 4 p.m. at Longstraw Farms in Ayden. The Rev. James Shad Watters officiated the double-ring ceremony. The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dolian Kirby Harris of Greenville. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hubert Nathaniel Edwards of Greenville, Mr. Dolian Harris of Roxboro, and the late Mrs. Jane Kirby Harris.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Therman “Tim” Hardee III of Greenville. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Therman Hardee, Jr. of Greenville, Mrs. Nell Blount Edwards of Simpson, and the late Mr. Harold Jay Edwards.
Matron of honor was Mrs. Kiley Moore. Maid of honor was Miss Christin Tew. Bridesmaids were Miss Megan Garner, Miss Emma Gidley, Miss Virginia Lewis, Miss Candace Long, Miss Allison Pittman, Miss Jessica Strickland, Miss Brittany Sutton, Miss Jennifer Vaughn, and Miss Jenn Warren. Junior bridesmaids were Miss Sidney Booth and Miss Emily Mitchum. Flower girls were Miss Sarah Booth and Miss Faith Mitchum.
Best man was Mr. Robert Wilson. Groomsmen were Mr. Derek Averill, Mr. Chad Carraway, Mr. Drew Deaton, Mr. Trey Furman, Mr. Patrick Hamm, Mr. Kendall Hardee, Mr. Tyler Hardee, Mr. Dale Harris, Mr. Bobby Lewis, and Mr. Charlie Sanderson. Ring bearer was Mr. Rivers Joyner.
Honorary bridesmaids were Miss Shelly Caison, Miss Kaitlyn Long, and Miss Mallory Riggs.
Following the ceremony, an outdoor reception was held at Longstraw Farms. On Friday evening, a rehearsal dinner hosted by the groom’s parents was held at 400 St. Andrews.
The bride graduated from J.H. Rose High School and received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing at East Carolina University. She is currently employed with North Carolina Health Services and Bayada.
The groom graduated from D.H. Conley High School and received a Bachelor of Science in Ag. Business at North Carolina State University. He is currently employed at Lake Phelps Grain.
Following a wedding trip to Aruba, the couple has made their home in Black Jack.
