A dispute among two groups is believed to have led to a Friday evening shooting that injured at least one man.
Greenville police responded about 6:30 p.m. to the South Greenville Park and Recreation Center on Howell Street after receiving reports that a man who been shot. Several people reportedly took the man by private vehicle to Vidant Medical Center. His condition was not immediately available.
Several officers were in the park off Skinner Street searching the area for casings and other evidence, according to Officer K.Z. Thomas. The location in which the man was shot had not been pinpointed as of 8 p.m. on Friday.
