The NAACP and its supporters gathered in Greenville on Monday to criticize the actions of Republican state lawmakers by inducting them into a Hall of Shame established by their Moral Monday movement.

More than 100 people attended an event at the Lucille W. Gorham Intergenerational Community Center, hosted by the North Carolina NAACP and Forward Together Moral Movement, along with the Pitt County NAACP and other local partners. The group gathered to targeted state Reps. Brian Brown and Susan Martin and state Sen. Louis Pate.

The Daily Reflector asked the lawmakers to respond to the criticism, initially announced on Friday. Pate and Brown declined to comment and Martin was not available phone or email.

*anything lawmakers can do to

*anything lawmakers can do to make the voting process honest I am for. we need cutbacks in every area they've cut. this moral Monday bunch is made up of a few folks mad because they've lost a few freebies and they want it back.

there is no reason to be antagonistic, NAACP

you are not going to get anywhere by calling names and insulting people. But if that is where your little minds go, you will not be successful.

Colored People?

I thought we were smarter than that, now..........The NAACP and it's subjects are a sad lot.............and quite insulting to intelligent black people.....

Fact check for Shoneca Kent

http://www.wral.com/nc-voter-turnout-sets-midterm-record/14149506/ Record voter turnout in the mid-term 2014. I guess the facts did not fit the NAACP's narrative.

Bless their hearts

Christina Bethel like most liberals were quite as a mouse while Democrats controlled the state and ignored the education system and teacher pay in NC.Elected Democrats did nothing and no one said a word. Those who did try to speak out were ostracized by so called "leaders".My wife is a teacher we have been there. Republicans try to begin to increase pay and stated it would be a process that would take time to increase all teachers pay. Just proves doing nothing (like democrat politicians) keeps you from getting criticized by those who profess that they care about education. No morality with this crowd, just politics and hypocrisy as usual.
