WINTERVILLE — Individually, small towns in Pitt County face challenges to attract and keep businesses. But a unified effort may play a role in helping each of them prosper.
That was consensus recently as three chambers of commerce partnered with Pitt Community College in a first-ever venture to showcase various aspects of Pitt County at a Business After Hours at the Goess Center on PCC’s campus. And those attending hope the gathering serves as just a first step.
“There is nothing we can’t do if we work together,” Judy Gidley, director of the Farmville Chamber of Commerce, said. “Coming together, we can uplift the whole community.”
