A mere two miles separate the winners of the awards given to recognize the state’s top theater organizations — both are in Greenville.
The North Carolina Theatre Conference chose The East Carolina University School of Theatre and Dance as this year’s winner in the college and university division while the Magnolia Arts Center took this year’s honors in the community theater division.
Board members from the NCTC will present ECU with its award prior to the premiere of “Assassins” at the school’s McGinnis Theatre on Thursday.
