Did you see what Holder is attempting to do to Texas?
What?

WASHINGTON — Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr. announced on Thursday that the Justice Department would ask a court to require Texas to get permission from the federal government before making voting changes in that state. The move opens a new chapter in the political struggle over election rules after the Supreme Court struck down a portion of the Voting Rights Act last month. http://www.nytimes.com/2013/07/26/us/holder-wants-texas-to-clear-voting-changes-with-the-us.html?pagewanted=all&_r=0
Ham and eggs....A days work for a chicken, a lifetime commitment for a pig.
NC reigns in wasteful spending in public education....... http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2013/07/27/north-carolina-ends-pay-boosts-for-teacher-master-degrees/ Lipstick on a pig in Mikey's view, but it's a step in the right direction.....

I whole heartedly agree. When a woman on food stamps gets $900/month due to the number of kids she has, and since they are small and don't eat that much sells half of her food stamps for cash at half on the dollar, there is a problem. The other problem is that food stamps are set up for certain brands, some are the most expensive on the market, what a waste. But to have a place where they could be provided what they need would save money in the long run. Figured I'd let you know, I agree with you here, just saying...

Hey bpsgirl... how have you been? With this other thing... the solution is not so impossible if good people would start leading again with only truth, wisdom and the ability to discern a good idea from a bad idea. The idea here basically is that the true needy still go without after we have all supported, been taxed to death and given freely to help them. Until we put a choke chain on those progressing the destructive and brainless obsessions of our times -- we'll continue to watch the least of these be exploited for a bunch of people being raised to be/think/do/behave as animals. With all excuses and labels of course. That is not "progress". Quite frankly, it seems to be common sense as the missing link... and experts have muddied the waters for their own purposes playing human beings in the roles of guinea pigs. The liberal experiment has failed many millions of times over. Conservatives failed when/where they too... bought into it.

I don't know about you, but I've been shopping at Aldi's lately and saving money. No need for food stamps to only cover name brand items...I mean if it's good enough for my family... Things have been good, nice summer and spent some time at the beach this year, nothing huge but very relaxing! Time seems to fly. Hope you are doing well also! :)

Yes, we're all doing well... its just been one of those years that teaches endurance and tests patience to be sure. While time is certainly flying by, we're beginning to wakeup each day asking what next. Hope springs eternal though as focus sharpens as we look for the blessings no matter what happens. We could do with some of that "very relaxing" and still plan to though summer has waned. This year we've been just trying to catch it whenever we can get it! Aldi is one grocer I haven't tried out yet. I'll have to give it a whirl and see if I can make a dent into this gargantuan grocery bill I usually have - which seems to be morphing out of control. The only one around here that I know of is in Winterville which is a bit of a trek. You still working hard at Caswell? Is all this supposed affordable care "act" doing anything positive from your perspective for the least of these the rest would like to only exploit for their more selfish ambitions? Its all like watching the worst continue to pile the worst on for the worst of reasons all sinking blindly into quicksand. We live in a nation that mentally/emotionally/physically is on par in ability with the average 2 year old and I am being most generous in that observation! Faith is key.

Avoid Fred's Foods, across from Sam's, if you choose to have a handgun, even in your car. And, if you have a gun in your car, don't park on the Fred's parking lot. You'll have to park elsewhere. They have a large sign on the outside of the store, HANDGUNS ARE NOT ALLOWED ON THESE PREMISES. I suppose, since law-abiding citizens with handguns are prohibited on store property, that blood thirsty mass murderers with AK-47s must be welcome ... I talked to the manager who said that the policy has been mandated by the store's owner. I'm showing my support by doing business with Aldi, not Fred's. According to the Aldi manager, they have no such "silly rules" on their store property, nor are any acticipated...

I went to Fred's one time. I wouldn't have gone the first time if I had known that.
