bahahahahahahahahahahahahahahha..... Saw this AFTER I posted query regarding seeing the guys........I promise..... And keep in mind, lou, you might occasionally learn something from them as well, lol..........especially the libertarian one, who clearly was blessed with the superior intellect........ ;-)
Think about it: our Libertarian son is living with us once again. Our conservative son is living independently in a beautiful home with a wonderful family. :)

"More folks will die in car crashes this year than by terrorist attacks" Mike, isn't that really comparing apples to oranges?
Death is death.......How secure do we need to be? Mikey likes the freedom to drive fast.......my decision........Besides, aren't apples and oranges both fruit?

Point taken......but intellect and initiative aren't one in the same, are they? LOL............Besides, your libertarian son is chillin' and let you feed him while the other son is slaving away and missing his dad........ ;-)

Oh, come on, Mike.....a car accident might involve a personal choice/action and not necessarily the result of an act of malice. Most deaths are accidental...same cannot be said for an act of terrorism.

What about drunk driving? We going back to prohibition in the name of security? Gonna set up checkpoints to make sure drivers aren't too sleepy? Sam's like a mouse.......you give him a cookie, he wants a glass of milk next....... The Constitution says volumes about liberty, very little about security.....I find it to be true that when terrorists kill a few people, it's a small victory for them........When they make us paranoid, cause excessive security by government, and have us living in fear.......then they have a very large victory.........We cannot dwell on fear.......

Drunk driving is still a personal issue....no malice involved for the most part of which I am aware. To the best of my knowledge, there isn't a group of folks out there planning a drunk-driving attack on the public at large.

It's interesting to me that you will accept absolute freedom as something we should expect, yet, you apparently don't hold the same expectations for absolute security.

I recall standing in one heck of a long line...no, a large mass of people...in Milan Italy a few years ago, waiting to get thru security prior to boarding our next plane. Frustrating as all get out, but certainly a viable alternative to the possibility of having a bomb explode aboard the plane at 30k feet.

A little scary that Bill Ayers and I agree that Obama should be on trial for his crimes. http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2013/06/18/bill-ayers-obama-should-be-put-on-trial-for-war-crimes/?intcmp=obnetwork#content
