So Jesus committed suicide? If he's God then he couldn't be killed by men and could easily get down from a cross. How can you die for someone's sins? Are you saying that Yaheweh was appeased by his Son's execution? If God is good then he wouldn't damn people who belong to other religions.
I've got an idea.......... It won't take you very long............ Read the four Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke and John) plus Acts & Romans two or three times and get back with me ............ Be careful.......... The blind can see............... The dumb can speak........... The crippled can leap............ The sick are healed........ The dead raised............ The Word has a way of changing your life dramatically.......... Do it and you can have a truly Merry Christmas!!!!!!

Why do you say they were pagan?

"Nonviolent"??? perhaps...unless you're a money changer in his house, & then it's the whip, Jack!
That's a great image. A long-haired Jew with a bullwhip who hates money-changers! Jesus would hate the GOP. They're all about the money changers.

"His house" meaning a Jewish temple. Jesus and his fathers (both of them) were Jews. Yahweh is the Jewish God, Joseph is a Jew descended from David, and Jesus was the Jewish Messiah. Hawk did you go to synagogue Saturday? PCP, do you observe the Jewish sabbath of Saturday like Jesus and Joseph? Or do you go on Pagan Sunday? Good thing about temple, hawk, is you can put a yamaka over your bald spot!

Careful Twitch, it's my understanding he isn't very fond of liars, although we all know you couldn't care less what he thinks

Twitch, do you notice that your questions do not get answered? according to some, it's more important that they calculate you are headed to hell, than to answer your very reasonable questions. does that inspire you to become of like mind? as you are perusing the gospels, please be sure to read Matthew 5:19 and Matthew 19:16-17 and figure out why anyone would suggest that good people in other religions (or no religion) are bound for hell. it's just fun for them to contemplate such, apparently

Twitch is a broken record. Were you around here last Christmas? Every Christmas, Twitch spouts the same things and PittCountyPride obliges him with answers. Twitch doesn't want answers and for that matter, neither do you. This thread is titled "Heavenly Thoughts" and given that, why would any non-believer wander in and pick a fight? Sometimes, the hardest thing to do is mind one's own business.

because, as Jesus stated, heaven is a place for those who behave well . . . and not for "believers", who don't listen to him in the first place . . it's a little harder concept to accept for a "believer", than the EZ-Pass methodology suggested by Paul of Tarsus, but it is the one Jesus referred to.
