Second man charged in break-in

A second person has been arrested and charged in a break-in where firearms valued at nearly $14,000 were stolen, the Pitt County Sheriff’s Office reported Tuesday.

Vince Hodges, 28, of 5105 Slatestone Road, Washington, N.C., was arrested and charged in the theft that occurred in the 1700 block of Heber Hudson Road east of Greenville between May 9 and May 13, sheriff’s office spokeswoman Christy Wallace said.


Hodges is in the Beaufort County Detention Center. He was charged with felony larceny, breaking and entering, safe cracking, and nine counts of larceny after breaking and entering in connection with the incident.
