When my husband, Bill, saw the email that there were free tomato plants in the company break room, he stopped by to pick one up for us. The healthy seedling he chose was in an unmarked black plastic pot with no identification label.
It really didn’t matter what kind of ’mater it was — my family loves tomatoes of every variety.
Bill planted the tomato plant near the backyard patio where he could keep an eye on it. He placed a wire cage around it to give it support as it grows.
