I was young and impressionable when I went with my father with a box of gifts and food for a family in another part of town. I don’t know why I went along; possibly I was asked to go, I don’t know.
I recall few details: What were the gifts? Did anyone else go along other than the two of us? Exactly where did we go? Who were we going to see? Everything surrounding this brief moment is gone except for when we got there and went inside the small frame house.
